Before I started making my own bread and rolls, I used to buy frozen dinner rolls that were $3.99 for 10 rolls. They were very good and my kids loved them. These dinner rolls taste just like them and they only cost pennies a piece. It makes 24-30 rolls per batch depending on how big you make them.
In the bread machine:
1 C milk
1 egg
1/3 C butter, margarine, shortening
1/4 C sugar
3 1/2 C all purpose flour
1 package active dry yeast
Turn the machine on dough setting. When cycle is complete remove dough and punch down. Let rest 10 minutes. Shape the dough into about 24 balls. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 15-18 minutes.
