Homeschool Wrap Up Week 3

Super busy week trying to get everything ready for the fair!

Week 3 in our Homeschool

Bible: We did 8 lessons in Answers for Kids Vol 4.

Read Aloud: We started and finished Kingdom Files Who Was Jonah?

History: We did 3 lessons in America's Story Vol 3 on The Story of Titanic, World Turmoil, and America after WW1.

Spelling: The boys finished Step 19 in AAS Level 5.

Language Arts: Christian and Anthony started SWI A.  We watched the first part of the DVD, and did the key word outline and wrote the paragraph for Sea Snakes.  They recognized portions of the DVD when the older boys did it years ago.

Lily completed 4 lessons in Hake/Saxon Grammar.

Emmie did 4 days of lessons in Language Lessons for a Living Education 2 and also worked in her Reading Eggs workbook.

Math: Each of the children completed 4 lessons in Math Lessons for a Living Education.

Other Activities this Week:

My boys have spent many hours with their daddy trying to finish the livestock trailer.  Lots of hard, hot work!

Monday: Was a blur.  We stayed at home trying to get caught up on housework and other things that needed to get done.  Is the housework ever caught up??

Tuesday: There was a 4 H cookie workshop for ages 9 and up that Lily wanted to go to.  When we got there since I was staying Emmie got to participate as well.  They both had fun and we all learned a few things we didn't know.

Tuesday night Christian had his first soccer practice.  Alex will not be bale to play since they did not have enough older kids sign up.  I was thankful for a teen driver that could help me by taking him to soccer.

Wednesday Chelsea and Liam came over.  I worked on the display board for the  fair booth.

Thursday Our Ag agent and 4 H program assistant came by to check on animals and tattoo Nick's rabbits ears.  They have to have a permanent tattoo for district and state fair.

Lily had piano.

Then we had a 4 H meeting.  Christian had soccer practice.  Nick volunteered to drive him.

Friday we had a Geography Through Art homeschool co-op. They made chalk drawings of the world and a pangea puzzle.

Lots of work with goats and feeding chickens!

Final touches on 4 H projects.  Emmie wanted to make a pillowcase so we bought some fabric.  I cut it wrong though and remembered why you measure twice and cut once.  We did not have enough left over so she made a pot holder instead.

County Fair is next week so we will not be doing much school since we will be there every day!

Emmie will be starting ballet next week at a new studio.  There were some complications and drama at the one she went to last year (that I don't want to talk about in detail as it is not yet resolved) so we needed to make a change.  I hope she loves it!

I hope you had a great week!

Happy Homeschooling!
