We did have a few outside activities this week.
Monday Lily and Alex went to their first music lessons. Lily is taking piano and Alex is taking guitar. We bought a piano from my church yard sale a few weeks ago that is not in perfect condition but its in pretty good condition and sounds good. We have a few guitars at the house and Alex built a guitar last Christmas from a kit and wanted to learn to play. Emmie went along for the ride to see what it was all about. They both enjoyed the lesson and have been practicing all week. Lily even showed Christian what she learned.
Tuesday was the Nature Seekers 4 H meeting. We usually have those meetings on Thursdays but we could not use the building on Thursday.
Wednesday we got home from taking Nick to his robotics class and there were 6 trucks in the yard from the electric company. Our shop building has been without power for over a year because the shop was wired into the house and about a year ago started shorting out in the shop which could've caused a fire in the house so we disconnected the power to the shop. Then the shop went under a massive remodel. To reconnect power we had the power company come out and put up a pole specifically for the shop. They also had to do some repair work on the pole that goes to the house. We did not get much schoolwork done in the morning because we were watching the men work.
We also found our first egg from our new chickens Wednesday morning. Finally!
Thursday Nick and Alex had a Teen Leader 4 H meeting. We went to the library while they had their meeting.
Friday night Art took Alex and Nick to the high school football game.
We also spent some time this week trying to get fair entries finished up!
