For this week's art project we did The Cardinal from Creating a Masterpiece. One of the reasons I was excited to have an opportunity to review this site was because there were several different types of projects that we have never tried before. The cardinal used a Tombow pen that I had never heard of before, but was able to buy through the link provided on the Creating a Masterpiece website.
It was definitely a learning experience and ours did not turn out much like the example. It took us around an hour to complete the project.
First we had to draw the cardinal with a pencil.
Then we drew in some areas with the Tombow pen.
After that we used paint brushes and water to paint the ink into parts of the drawing. Then we went over certain areas with the Tombow pen and painted a bit more.
These were our finished products.
