It's Fair Week!
Those of you in 4 H know that the County Fair is a BIG deal! The children work hard and look forward to it all year long. It is also the busiest week of the year for us. Yesterday I loaded up 12 chickens, a rabbit, 7 children, and 10 4 H projects to go enter in the fair. Chelsea entered a rabbit, 3 chickens, a skirt, apron, and a rag quilt. Nick entered 3 chickens, a cross made out of string, a bead design, a felt pillow, a robot, and an 1100 piece Lego set. Alex entered 3 chickens, a felt pillow, and a Lego set. Anthony entered 3 chickens. Our club also did a booth that we made things for and put together Sunday afternoon with a lot of help. The exhibits are being judged today. Tomorrow morning the chickens and rabbit will be judged and for the first time the judges have invited the children to be there during the judging so they can show us exactly what they are looking for. Thursday and Friday mornings Chelsea is volunteering in a Pizza Ranch designed to show Kindergardeners from the schools how a pizza is made from the garden to the table. Saturday morning is the Premium Sale and then live stock cleanup and check out is at 9:00 that night. Also we have soccer practices this week! So we are driving into town every day and sometimes twice a day. I will post pictures tomorrow after the chicken and rabbit judging.
Wow! That is a busy week!
