This week on Art Class we continued talking about lines, squares, circles, triangles, and other shapes. The younger children did two different projects. First they painted with watercolors.
For their second project they used stamps. First they dipped their stamps with all different shapes in the paint and stamped it on their papers. Then they used markers to outline the stamps and draw pictures on their papers.
The older children (my 4 boys), made Totem Poles. Using lines and shapes, they created a design on 4 pieces of paper. They outlines those and stacked them one on top of each other over a piece of cardstock they curved to create the pole. This project took quite awhile to draw and outline, so it is the only thing they made today.
