Review: When Grace Sings by Kim Vogel Sawyer
When Grace Sings by Kim Vogel Sawyer is the second book in the Zimmerman Restoration series. It picks up where When Mercy Rain left off. Alexa Zimmermann has opened a bed and breakfast in her grandmother's house in Arborville Kansas. She is determined to make a success of it and feel accepted by the community there. She agrees to allow a long term boarder named Briley Forrester, a reporter from Chicago to stay in her cottage but she is unaware of his motives for staying there.
Alexa's cousin, Anna-Grace is getting married and her future husband is fixing up a property not far from the bed and breakfast. Anna-Grace wants to become familiar with the place she may be living and ends up staying with Alexa at the bed and breakfast. Anna-Grace's presence brings out Alexa's insecurities and leads Briley on a path to uncover some hidden truths.

After I finished When Mercy Sings, I could not wait for the next book to be released. When Grace Sings is a beautiful continuation of the Zimmerman Restoration Series. This is a series by the way that you really do need to read in order and start with book one to get the complete story. The story focuses on 4 main characters: Alexa, Anna-Grace, and Steven. Throughout the story we learn about each one of these characters fears and deceptions and when all is known lives could be destroyed. But there is an underlying message that we should be focusing more on what God wants from our life rather than working to try to please other people and that things do not define our worth.
I liked this quote, " Because Briley, those people don't define your worth."
"Oh yeah? Says Who?"
"Says God."
I could not put When Grace Sings down. I cannot wait for the last book to come out!
I would highly recommend When Grace Sings and other books by Kim Vogel Sawyer!
" For God so love the world that He gave his only begotten Son that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish , but have everlasting life." John 3:16
