We love Veggie Tales! We have several of their DVD's and some of their books. I was very excited to have the opportunity to review their brand new DVD The Little House That Stood which will release Tuesday March 5th.
About The Little House That Stood
When the Three Little Pigs roll into Cabbageville looking to build some new houses, they meet one builder with a plan and two without a clue! Larry builds with hay, Mr. Lunt with bricks, but only Bob builds his houses on a firm foundation - following the wise plans from the Master Builder's Handbook! Will the Little Piggies make the right choices when it comes to building their houses - and their lives - on solid ground? Find out in this parable that shows kids when they follow God's blueprints, then can stand strong when the storms come!
The day we received the DVD in the mail was very cold, wet, and windy. Normally after lunch we would go outside for recess, but not that day. When the mail was brought in Lily (4) was so excited she wanted to skip lunch and go right down and watch the movie! We did decide it was better to eat lunch first. The three youngest (2,4,6) ran down to watch the movie but the other three boys(7,9,11) decided they were told old to watch Veggie Tales now. But, when they wandered downstairs, all three of them sat and watched it.
The Little House That Stood is a very cute Veggie Tales movie. A great story, great message taught for little children to understand, and of course catchy music that I am sure will make it's way into my head at the oddest times of day. I loved that this video was built around familiar nursery rhymes and children's stories.
You can view the trailer for the movie here.
