Noah The Musical
We are spending the week with my parents, and Saturday we had the opportunity to head up to the Sights and Sounds Theatre in Branson MO to see Noah the Musical. The Sight and Sound Theatre is the nation's largest Christian theatrical company. The first theatre was in Strasburg Pennsylvania and now they have expanded to Branson, MO. The theatre was absolutely beautiful with seating for about 2000 people and it was a wonderful show that the whole family enjoyed (ages 1 to 63.) It was a 2 hour long show with a short intermission ( Well it was supposed to be. We sat through a 50 minute power outage 30 minutes of it in the pitch black dark. It was a great time for Anthony and Christian to have a nap and made the show that much more memorable.) You felt just like you are sitting right inside the 40 foot high Ark and are surrounded by 300 live and animatronic animals. The musical tells the story of Noah and his family enduring persecution and ridicule to obey the call of God. A bit of artistic license was taken to tell the story, there are things that could have happened but are not in the Bible and they do announce that at the beginning of the show.
